
District collector Sheik Abdul Rahman reviewed the arrangement for the “Aadi Ammavasai” festival at Melmalayanur Temple Angalamman.
On Monday, he chaired the meeting on the collector on Monday and for the benefit of the devotees reviewed the arrangements for ensuring public transport, drinking water supply, medical support and other equipment.
The collector said that heavy vehicles will be limited on Thursday. Sanitary workers would be deployed in adequate numbers to ensure the operation of cleaning continuously. Sophisticated security measures were made to regulate the crowd and in addition to the control room, CCTV was installed, he added.
Officials from the Department of Hindu religious and charity foundations (HR and CE), transport, rural development, health care and family care and higher officers of the police department participated.
