Do you believe that Indian players can dominate the Fide World Cup this year?
Humpy, the Indian best female chess player, surprised his opponent with a selection of early opening, which is rarely seen at the highest level events. Tingjie Lei tried to react effectively and was soon pushed into a balanced but slightly unpleasant position. Despite the exchange of Queens in the middle game Humpy never faced any serious threats. The presence of the opposite colored bishops further reduced the winning chances on both sides and eventually agreed with the draw.
