England Captain Ben Stokes called ICC after his team was fined for a slow excessive level at Lord. Stokes blasted the body for not improving common sense, and said the international body should change its rules depending on the continent on which the test match is played.
Reviewing the number of exceeding on a single test of the test match reached its peak on the 2nd day of the Lord’s test, where England only bowed only 75 overs. According to the ICC rules, a total of 90 overs must be bowed in one day. The inability to attract a brave fine from the ICC, where they take part of the points earned in a single test match.
It is not the first time that problems with excessive levels suffered England. In the last WTC cycle, England was fined by 22 cricket body points for bowling slowly in the test match.
On Tuesday, Stokes called Practice at a press conference before the match and said that in England it was difficult to pass 90 exceeding with four sailors operating in the game.
“In Asia, you can’t have the same rules where Spinner Bowling is 70% exceeding, having the same laws in New Zealand, Australia in England, where it will be 70-80% of seams. Because Spinner’s Over takes less time than it would be in front of a sailor.
“The excessive rate is not something I am worried about, but it does not say that I will deliberately slow things down. I understand frustration around it, but I honestly think that it must be a really hard look at how structured it is,” he added.
Fans were tired of slow excessive extent in London and in the first two days of the test match called India and England. On day 1, India bowed only 81 overs, while 2 saw only 75, most of the English side.
Many of them pointed to Lord’s tickets – exaggerated 160 pounds (R 18 562) – asked if they had their money for value.
Stokes, however, had none of this and said that the number of exceeding decreases when the match progresses due to fatigue in the bodies of fast pitchners. And because Pacers bowed to most overs in England, the exaggerated rate reached a significant intervention.
Stokes added that the injuries of their lone spinner shaib Bashir made it difficult to control excessive excess, which ICC should consider.
“During the game, the overturning time will come down because you were just getting tired. We played five days, it was our 15th day. The cricket day. We apparently had Bash (Bashir) injuries, spinning, so we couldn’t turn to our spinner, as we would have to come in handy on the first day.
The captain further argued that in tests with a high score, the number should be taken into account how many times the ball is hit at the border. Stokes killed ICC and wondered whether to provide high quality cricket at all within ICC.
“I wonder if the scoring rate also has to do it. The ball is hit more often, so it will take much longer. I think it is just so much that it is so much that affects your excessive values that it cannot be as simple as” That’s time, that’s what you have to do. “
The fourth test match between India and England begins on July 23.
