The announcement for the airmen (notam) was issued for an extensive exercise of the Indian Air Force (IAF) scheduled for 23.-25. July in Rajasthan along the Indian-Pakistani border.
According to sources, the Indian Air Force is set to perform the main military exercise in Rajasthan and covers areas from Burmer to Iodhpur.
“The exercise is to be planned in Rajasthan near the international border, it is part of the regular operational prepared IAF exercise. It could be between two or three orders of IAF. During such exercise we release Notama to maintain airspace from any civilian aircraft,” the official said.
The intensive drill will include front fighter aircraft, including Rafale, Mirage 2000 and Sukhoi-30, along with air and air support systems. The drill will also include readiness during night operations.
The drill comes in the middle of increased vigilance on the border of India-Pakistan, where India Air Force focuses on strategic readiness and increasing the possibilities of air defense.
The region witnessed the Pakistani drones and the rockets intrusion during the Sindoor Operation, where Pakistan began 413 attacks on drones focused on Rajasthan’s district of Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar. All these air attacks were thwarted by an advanced air defense system located by Indian defensive forces.
