Chief Minister Andr Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu.
On the basis of a financial stem, which witnessed other states that introduced similar social security programs, Main Minister Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababa Naida has introduced a calibrated but designed access to an ambitious free initiative of RTC buses for women from August 15.
At the Amaravati’s Secretariat on Monday, Mr. Naida ordered transport officials to issue “zero fare tickets” to all women’s passengers within this program. Each ticket not only verifies the free journey, but also describes in detail the journey of travel, the exact amount of the subsidy by the government and the amount stored by the passenger.
“The aim is for women to clearly realize the economic benefits they gain on this initiative,” said the main minister, adding that the ticket itself should serve as a tangible representation of government support. To ensure transparency and responsibility, the main minister ordered the development of specialized software to capture and display all financial benefits directly on the ticket.
Sustainability
However, the main minister was aware of the budgetary consequences of extensive discussion with officials on how these programs influenced the fiscal health of other states. He emphasized the importance of avoiding delay in implementation, but stressed that the long -term sustainability of APSRTC must remain a priority.
Thanks to the financial well -being of APSRTC in sharp focus, Mr. Naida laid a wider vision of sustainable operations. He called for immediate steps to identify alternative income flows, reduce operating costs and design a comprehensive profitability plan.
In a progressive move, he announced that only electric buses AC will be obtained in the future. He also proposed to convert existing buses into electric models to reduce the cost of maintenance and establishment of charging infrastructure for all RTC songs. He floated the idea of his own energy production to support the green fleet, a step focused on long -term energy security and self -confidence.
“This transition is not only about cost savings, but also about building a sustainable and separate public transport system,” he added.
It should be remembered that free bus ride for women on RTC buses is one of the promises under Super Six as the general elections in 2024. The scheme, although inspired to seize women and promote inclusive growth, comes with awareness of the pitfalls they experienced elsewhere. However, Andhra Pradesh’s strategy combines well -being with fiscal caution – trying to avoid an economic burden that harassed similar initiatives in other countries.
Since the state is preparing for the introduction of 15th August, all eyes concern how Andhra Pradesh equals social well -being and economic sustainability and determines what could be a new measure of public transport policy.
