The state government announced a cash award of 1 Crore for singer Rahula Sipligunj on the occasion of the Bonal festival in accordance with the promise of the main Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Mr. Sipligunj, originating from the Old Town of Hyderabad, has achieved international recognition, including an Oscar nod, for the song Naat in the film 2022 RRR. Mr. Reddy announced a cash reward of £ 10 for a young singer when he was President of TPCC and assured him a cash reward for Cr £ 1 if Congress went to power.
A special mention of his assurance Mr. Sipligunj recently during the presentation of the Gadar Awards and stated that orders would soon be issued for this purpose. So the government announced the Cash Award with the Bonal Festival in the Old Town on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
