
Udit Pradhan, the head of Odism, the National Student Union of India (NSUI), the student’s wing of the Indian National Congress Party, was arrested in connection with the alleged case of rape of a 20 -year -old in Bhubaneshware after filed a complaint. The first information report (FIR) was submitted at the Mancheswar Police Station.
According to the police, there was an incident on March 18, when the accused allegedly slipped intoxicating substance into a girl’s drink before he committed crimes. The incident states that it took place at the Mancheswar Hotel in Bhubaneswar.
“The girl of the girl has been accused of filing an intoxicated substance in drinking and then rape in a hotel against one udit Pradhan. On the basis of a report submitted by the victims, companies were registered at the Mancheswar police station and the accused udit Pradhan was arrested,” the police said.
The PTI report noted: “The accused was booked according to various provisions, including rape and criminal intimidation, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.”
“It will be made in court on Monday afternoon,” said toi Bhubaneshwar DCP Jagmohan Meena.
