In a tragic incident, one person drowned and the other disappeared on the car in which they traveled, plunged into the Sunday channel Tungabhadra Low Level (LLC) on Sunday.
Four others in the car managed to get out and swim to the safety using the locals. They are all inhabitants of Hubli in Karnataka.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sunil (21), a missing person as a manicant (22) and the survivors of Huppayya, Manjunath, Avinash and Idar. They visited Sri Raghanendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralyam and returned to Hubli when the person who was driving the car lost control and plunged into the channel near the village of Yerigeri in Kotalam Mandal.
The SDF team, along with the locals, won the body Sunil a little away from where the car drowned while the effort was watched by a missing manicant. Koutalam police registered the case and investigated.
