New Delhi: Free available houses built within the Flag Government have forced the Center to propose a temporary stop of new projects in some cities.
Insufficient infrastructure, including water, hygiene, sewer, electricity and roads, is considered a key reason why people who remain outside the vertical housing of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) (AHP).
The Ministry of Housing and Cities (I can) at a recent meeting with several states, including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, discussed the question that affects the government scheme to provide houses for all Pucca houses.
Low occupancy
According to data provided by the Ministry of Parliament in March, from 118 million houses sanctioned according to PMay, about 90 million and 87.5 million were completed.
“The cast of completed AHP houses under PMAY is very low, especially in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. This unoccupiness continues due to insufficient infrastructure in several countries,”
Another person said that states were also ordered to ensure the occupation of completed houses under the available housing in the partnership (AHP) in the city before working on new projects under PMAY-2 in the same city.
The Center advises states to “identify and attach” the recipients under the vertical AHP in the initial phase of consent to avoid later unoccupied phase.
To ensure better occupancy within PMay (Urban) -2, the government asked states to ensure that projects within this program should come with basic civic equipment such as water, hygiene, roads and electricity, the above person said.
In August last year, the Union approved PMay-U 2.0, according to which financial assistance is committed for 10 million urban families of poor and medium classes through the state government and trade unions to build, buy or rent a house for affordable costs in five years.
Four verticals
The Central Government will provide assistance until £2.50 lakh per house under the program. PMAY-U, launched in June 2015, was redesigned and launched as PMAY-U 2.0.
The scheme has four verticals that are supported by the recipients-“affordable housing in partnership” (AHP), construction management (BLC), affordable housing (ARH) and interest subsidy system (ISS).
Within the AHP, financial assistance is provided to recipients from the economically weaker section for ownership of houses built by various partnerships states, trade unions, public or private agencies, while in BLC financial assistance is provided to individual authorized families to build new houses on their own free land or land provided by the government.

Questions sent to the Ministry of Housing and urban affairs remained unanswered until the press.
“The center emphasized the need for access from a case to solve problems and reasons for occupancy and reasons may vary for various projects and cities. States have also been said to ensure sufficient budget allocations to accelerate the unfinished houses under PMAY,” said the first.
The Ministry proposed geo-enancing all sanctions in a time-linked manner to monitor progress.
The center also proposed that old houses funded by the central or state government, which are unoccupied, are assigned to eligible recipients of PMay 2.0.
