Manchester’s head coach of United Ruben Amorim is not satisfied with the 0-0 team drawn against Leeds in Preseason. Amorim spoke of the team’s performance and said his team needed more tempo in his middle field. After their deplorable ending last season, United is trying to turn them on, which saw them walking in the lower third of the Premier League table.
United had its worst Premier League campaign in the 2024-25 season, finished 15th. The Old Trafford Party could not impress the draw with the newly promoted Leeds in Stockholm on Saturday, despite the new signature of Matheus Cunhy in the start line.
“We suffered a little bit when we tried to press high, kicked the ball, won the second ball and at that moment they were a danger,” Amorim Mutv said.
“We have a lack of tempo, especially in the middle of the park, and you can feel it (so) it is hard to bring the ball (forward). But we created chances. We have a lot to do, but it was the first test against the Premier League team, with two different teams, so it was a good test,” Amorim added.
“As a group, we have to improve a lot, the speed of the game, all the details, so yeah, we’ll improve.”
United Next Play West Ham United at MetLife stadium in New Jersey 26 July.
The team will start the season with a match against Arsenal on August 17th, Sunday. AMORIM would have hoped that in the first season with the club will get its house in order.
