In order to support the responsible and safe monsoon tourism, the State Ministry of Tourism and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) of curatorial packages of “waterfalls” is planning. While the tours were originally planned on the market in July, due to the high intensity of the monsoon, it will probably start by the end of August or early September.
“In our tourist destinations, we have several hidden gems, including natural trails and waterfalls except known, such as Jog Falls and Gokak Falls.
The destinations were identified in the districts of Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Kodag and Belagavi. Tourists may decide to integrate these destinations into already existing KSTDC packages or get adapted to the waterfall itinerary.
Those who would like to travel in larger groups can use KSTDC buses for these tours. The services of local guides and natural scientists will also be included in the packages.
Although there is currently no direct option for booking tours, those interested can book them by sending the e -mail found in the Question section on the KSTDC website, the officials said.
The weather caused a delay
The officials of the tourism department said that many who tried to explore unknown targets during this year’s monsoon have stuck in distant areas because the weather conditions deteriorated.
“We decided to postpone the start of these tours while waiting for the monsoon intensity to decrease. Places like Dakshina Kannada and Saklessshpura in the Hassan district are susceptible to landslides and will travel at that time.
“The destinations we have chosen will have a beautiful scenery in the coming months after the modification. Our waterfalls are usually full until December.
KSTDC currently performs similar tours to popular destinations. This includes a dam Krishnagiri – Hogenakkal Falls Tour, Shivanasamudra – Talakadu and Sigandhur – Jog Falls Tour.
Online car slots
To regulate the number of visitors and vehicles that are in the Mullayanagiri area, the highest peak in Karnataka, is located in the Chikkamagalur district in the coming week in the coming week in Mullayanagiri. Although the system was announced last year, it will be launched in a few days.
A total of 1200 vehicles will be allowed in two slots (600 vehicles in each slot) – 6:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 18:00, for which the previous reservations must be made online. Parking equipment for these vehicles will be provided near Seethalayyyanagiri and from there those who want to advance to the top, pre -approve vehicles or walk.
“If this model works, then we replicate it at all the other hilly stations that get under the tourism department, including Nandi Hills,” said Salma Fahim, main secretary, tourism department.
