In another shocking incident in Odisha, a 15 -year -old girl was ignited by Miscreants in Balanga, Puri. The minor victim suffered in an attack of 70% of burns.
A girl who was on oxygen support at the ICU at the Burn Center at Aiims Bhubaneswar was transferred to national capital for further treatment. Then she was taken to Delhi on Sunday.
A green corridor was set up to take over the patient from Aiims Bhubaneswar at the Biju Patnaik Airport and one police squad was deployed, said Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena.
“The patient’s condition is stable and its blood pressure, which was low yesterday, has improved. It is safe to convert it,” said Aiims Executive Director Bhubaneswar Ashutosh Biswas to reporters before her departure.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Odisha Mohan Charan Matern said that the state government would carry a smaller girl who was ignited by Miscreants in Puri, to Aiims Delhi for advanced medical care according to the doctors’ council. The victim is currently receiving treatment in Aiims Bhubaneswar with 70% burns.
“We are reviewing the situation. The state government is ready to move it to Delhi Aiims for advanced treatment if necessary. Although the victim has suffered up to 70% of burns, she is still able to speak.
There is an investigation to determine the cause of this incident, he also said.
“Anyone is responsible, will be caught. The investigation is going to determine the cause of this incident and to see if the conspiracy has been involved. The government will ensure a strict punishment by law,” Majhi added.
The shocking incident came to light a few days after the student had over 90% of burns and succumbed to AIims Bhubaneswar on July after trying to self -mate on the Balasore College 12 premises.
Meanwhile, Biju Janata gave (BJD) Supremo and former Chief Minister Odisha Naveen Patnaik seriously criticized the BJP government in the state and said that such incidents against women are now reported almost daily across ODISHA.
