A big test of SHUBMAN GILLA
After the 22-run defeat in the Lord’s test, India must ensure victory in the Manchester test to maintain the ambition to win the series. The draw would effectively eliminate their chances of success of the series. Former Australian Batsman Greg Chapppell described the upcoming Manchester test as The biggest challenge in the career of SHUBMAN GILLA.
“The OLD TRAFFORD test is formed as the greatest examination for Gill – not only as a dough, but as a leader,” Chapppel wrote in his column for Espncricinfo.
“They learn about work, but the timeline is not generous. That does not mean that it can not show emotions. In fact, his passion on the pitch in the Lord was good to see. But action like getting up in the face of Zak Crawley at a time that is in time of time.
India started a series with a loss of five goal in Leeds, followed by a strong return with the victory of 336 in Edgbaston. However, the subsequent defeat returned them again.
