The tourist ship appeared on Saturday afternoon during a sudden storm in Vietnam and, according to state media reports, 34 dead and eight remained.
The vessel, named Wonder Sea, carried 48 passengers and five crew members, all Vietnamese, for a tour of HA Long Bay, a popular tourist destination.
