
In a terrible incident, a 15 -year -old girl was ignited on Saturday by unidentified persons in the Oish district of Puri, quoted the PTI officials.
After the incident, the girl was rushed to Aiims Bhubaneswar in critical condition. The doctors said the girl suffered 70 % of the injury of burns but was able to speak.
About the incident:
According to a preliminary investigation, the three unidentified youth transmitted motorcycles captured the girl around 9 am in the Bayabar village at Balanga police station when she went to her friend’s house.
They were forcibly taken to the banks of the Bhargavi River, sprinkled with a flammable substance on her body and lit it, the policeman said.
The incident occurred about 1.5 km from her house in Nuagopalpur Buste and about 5-7 km from the Balanga Police Station.
After the incident, miscreants fled from the place. Local people threw themselves on the fire and later took her to the government hospital Pipili, where she was moved to Aiims Bhubaneswar.

Government Action:
The Pinak Mishra superintendent said that the police had initiated investigations and questioned some people. SP said that no one has been detained or arrested.
Police officer Pipili Sub-Divisional (SDPO) Debasish Misra said the victim had suffered injuries to burn on her back, abdomen and other parts.
“Two teams have been created to charge the culprits. We are trying to look for traces of CCTV cameras installed in private homes,” PTI quoted. ‘
Meanwhile, the representative of the Chief Minister of the Right -Arts said that the government would bear the expenditure of the girl’s treatment and that the police were asked to arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
