India and Maharashtra dough Ruturaj Gaikwad for personal reasons abolished their county with Yorkshire. Chief coach Yorkshire Anthony McGrath reported on Gaikwad’s unavailability three days before their accessories against Surrey, which will be played from 22 July. Gaikwad has been with India for their tour of England and is expected to connect with the Yorkshire team before their upcoming accessories.
For some personal reasons, however, it will not be available this season and leaves a massive hole in Yorkshire. Gaikwad was supposed to play in a one -day cup and after the regional championship.
“Unfortunately, Gaikwad is not coming now for personal reasons. We will not have it for Scarborough or the rest of the season. That’s disappointing. I can’t tell you about the reasons why, but we hope everything is fine.
In addition, Anthony McGrath said he was trying to find Gaikwad’s replacement soon.
“We work behind the scenes about what we can do. But it’s just two or three days away, so I’m not sure what we can do at the moment. We’re working to try to get a possible replacement, but time pressure is a problem.
Meantime, Gaikwad was out of activity by Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025), where he could only appear in six matches before he suffered an injury. During the game he was hit by the elbow against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and despite trying to play through pain, he was eventually expelled from the competition. Mrs. Dhoni took over the leadership of CSK after Gaikwad was excluded.
