When we wait for the Bibin Chacko in front of his house in the interiors of Thiruvaniyur, near Kochi, we spy on the hood of “car”. The low -leaf car, almost grazing on the ground, is covered with a sail. The “hand -made car” is Bibin’s claim to fame and the one that his father, Chacko Hope, would get his work with the automobile company: “Lamborghini!” jokes. Lamborghini, because the car bibin is made by a replica of Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4.
Bibin, an employee of the nearby Oen India, is enthusiastic about the attention the “car” gets. “Two things I haven’t done are tires and an engine that belongs to Marutus Suzuki 800. I did everything else,” he says when his proud father continues to look. At the time he built a car, he never saw in real life.
“I thought I would never be able to own, so why not build it,” says Bibin, who began to build his car when he was in the second year of college. The building was seriously for three years, saying that a mechanical engineer who graduated from the TOC-H Institute of Science and Technology, Arakkunnam.
Its initial source was the Internet, where it found a car measurement. “Then I bought second -hand tires so I could start building. This is a reduced version of the original,” he explains.
First, the outline of the car was winging on the basis of the measurement on the terrace of his house. Then came the chassis that built, followed by 8 mm metal bars to build a frame, which was then covered with cardboard and fiber plaster. He even cut and welded the metal metal. Initially, the engine he used belonged to the authorickshaw.

There is no windshield, steering wheel, transmission, cluster of the device and “seats” are basic and needs a coat of colors. When I tell him about the Green Porsche 911, which I saw in Kochi, Bibin says, “I wanted the candy red shade, but when I asked, I learned that it was super expensive, so now I’m not decisive.”
That didn’t happen at once, says Chacko. “It happened for several years. We couldn’t help him financially, but encouraged him in all other ways.” Bibin smiles, “Yes, that my parents did it. Without their support I couldn’t get away in this hobby.”
He bought raw materials with money (₹ 5000) a month, earned as a newspaper boy. “That’s why it took time. Now I managed to get alloys sponsors!” The cost of the material was around 1.25 ₹ Lakh.
This is also the first car he was driving. “I just had a two -wheel license, only after I became” drive “, I also received a license with four wheels. Because we don’t have a car, it’s also the first I was driving. “When my father and son maneuver the gate car, Bibin admits that his driving skills are basic.
“He was curious about mechanical things, toys, especially as a young child. Whenever we bought him toy cars from the church fairs that dismantled them. He wanted to know what was inside and how it worked. This is an extension,” says Chacko. Bibin says that the functioning of mechanical things caused him to be curiously like a child and possibly building this car could have something to do with it. “I’ve always wanted to know how something works, so I dismantled toys and phones and put them back together.”
Bibin has not decided what he intends to do with his car. There were questions about the individuals who asked if he was for sale, then asked if he could think of another: “I’m not sure what I want to do. First I want to finish the car. It wouldn’t bother me to take it as part of the show of other cities … I decided. We’ll see!”
So he saw Lamborghini Huracan in real life? “Yes, in 2024, when someone came into a car for a nearby college!”
Bibin has documented the whole process on its BC Customs YouTube (@bibinchacko326)
