Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) created a history by providing top national awards in the Swachh Survekshan ranking, announced on Friday by the district collector S. Nagalakshmi.
She congratulated the civic body for his exceptional performance, which ranked Guntur among 23 cities recognized as “Super Swachh League Cities 2024–25”. Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu and other Commissioner Challa Obules presented the award and a memento collector in her camp.
The collector attributed success to the collective efforts of officials, public representatives and hygienic workers. She expressed the certainty that recognition would further motivate the city to improve hygiene and build a healthier urban environment.
Meanwhile, Commissioner GMC and other Commissioner appreciated the role of the district collector in the help of Guntura to ensure recognition at the National level as part of the One District One Product initiative for Guntur Sannam Mirchi.
