Interior Minister G. Parameshware launched the “Manege Police” initiative on Friday, aimed at supporting the police and bridging the gap between citizens and the police department.
Dr. Parameshware described this initiative as the first of its kind in the country and stressed that it would help to build a sense of fraternity and confidence between the public and the police.
“Let’s go to the people of people and listen to their problems. When we solve their problems, they begin to create a positive opinion in the ward,” he told the police.
As part of the initiative, defeat officers are obliged to visit houses in their jurisdiction, interact with the inhabitants, collect details of their neighborhoods and note any concerns and order they may have.
Officers are expected to record the data collected during these visits, allowing the police to gain deeper and understanding their jurisdiction in real time.
Although the Minister of the Interior officially launched the program on Friday, the implementation has already started at the field level.
Dr. Parameshware stated that the initiative will be regularly reviewed and the necessary changes will be made on the basis of its effectiveness.
