The new Cuddalore city police arrested two people on Thursday for alleged ATM manipulations to illegally make transactions. Duo – identified as Sivaparan Singh (24 years) and Avinesh, 28, from Uttar Pradesh – was arrested after it was found that in suspicious circumstances moved in front of the ATM.
The police said that the cloning chip was discovered at the India (SBI) State Bank ATM in Semmandalam near the Bank 16th July official, after which a complaint was filed. The police started the investigation and found that a steel plate was placed in the cash dispenser together with a cloning chip.
The team noticed that Sivaparan Singh and Avinesh were in suspicious circumstances near an ATM and arrested them. The investigation revealed that the Duo focused ATMs at various places by strategic placement of iron plates in the dispensing slot in cash, causing the money to get stressed.
Both were made before the local court and transferred to custody.
