Legal steps will begin in September against those who interfered with government land in the Parunthumpar hills in Peerumade Taluk in IDUKKI, said the District Collector V. Vigneshwari.
The special team of the Ministry of Income carries out a document of people who organize land on Earth using a survey number 441 in Manjumale and survey number 543 in Peerumade, said the collector. Previously, the collector appointed a special team of income department, headed by the subchapter IDUKKI, to explore the gradation on the hills of Parunthumpar. A special team issued a announcement of more than 1,475 people in both regions of the survey and asked to submit their documents. “The process of verifying the document is taking place,” said the Ministry of Income by an official.
Within three months
Officials of the Ministry of Income stated that they plan to complete the process of verifying the document within three months.
The special investigation team (SIT) headed by K. Sethuraman, a former director, police training at university, found extensive land interventions and illegal construction on government land in Parunthumpar.
