Liverpool summer spending could only have one final twist – and includes a fresh face from the Bundesliga. With mere days remaining in the Premier League Masters, Eintracht’s striker Frankfurt Hugo Ecitike is concluded.
The interviews between these two clubs advanced quickly, and Liverpool now believed that he had reached an oral agreement with a 23 -year -old striker. There is a fee over 70 million on the table – the one that could beat the Newcastle United offer earlier.
Ekitike had a standout campaign with Frankfurt last season and scored 15 goals in 31 starts. These figures were not unnoticed by AS Liverpool, who would like to bring a natural central striker before closing the window, the Frenchman fired at the top of his list.
This step comes after Liverpool hit the blind end while chasing Alexandra Isak. Reds showed a serious interest in Newcastle’s attacker, but Magpies explained it: Isak is not going anywhere. Swede, weighted north of 150 million, was marked this summer as inviolable.
With these doors firmly closed, Liverpool did not waste time turning – and ecitike seems to be a perfect alternative. He is young, mobile and sharp in front of the goal and check the Klopp -style fields. The news suggests that the club hopes that the agreements will get before the weekend.
Meanwhile, Newcastle turned his attention elsewhere. After losing the land in the Ecitike race, it is expected to move for Brentford’s Yoane Wiss in the coming hours to support their offensive possibilities.
Liverpool transmission business has already increased eyebrows this summer. They broke the British transfer record to bring midfielder Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen for 116 million. This agreement followed the arrival of full-backs Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong, signed for 40 million and 30 million.
Adding ecitike to this list would mean a finishing touch on what was an aggressive and forward -looking window for the REDS. With questions that are still swirling around the consistency and changes of Darwin, they are on the front line, the Frenchman could bring fresh energy and competition to the role of nine.
The window lifins, but it seems that Liverpool is determined to quit strongly. And if Ecitike lands in Anfield in the coming days, it may be a signature that adds the right edge to their title defense.
