
As part of the Sports and Cultural Promotion of the Indian company Food Corporation (FCI), the eighth inter -regional cricket tournament (southern zone), organized by the Amaravati Regional Authority, closed on July 16.
The tournament was attended by six teams represented by Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Keral and Zonal Office (South). The matches were made in one format of round robin. At the end of the first day, the teams from Andr Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka advanced to the semifinals. After the semi -finals held on July 16th, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana teams qualified for the finals.
In the final match Andhra Pradesh first burned and scored 140 runs for losing 7 goals in 20 breaks. Telangana successfully persecuted the target at 17.1 overs and appeared as a tournament champion.
The main guest was Vijay Kumar Yadav, CEO of FCI Andhra Pradesh. Ravindra Duhan, Assistant to Andhra Pradesh, was also present.
