Since Bhoothathankott Small Hydro Project plagued extremely delayed, the State Council for Electricity Keral (KSEB) is now planning to send a technical team to China to check the delayed dose of equipment for 24 Megawatts (MW).
Whether to re -evaluate the decision adopted at the beginning of this year to terminate the contract signed with the consortium of companies from Tamil Nadu and China for electromechanical works of the Small Hydro project, according to KSEBs will depend on the team report.
According to the order of 14 July, the team will consist of an authorized director (Generation and Civil), executive engineers who manipulate the project Electrical Designs (PED) and the division of the generation in Edamalayar and an independent expert. They will see the tests of equipment and witnesses in order to submit a report before the KSEB Administration Council.

The chairman of the KSEB and CEO Mir Mohammed Ali told Hindu that while the decision was taken to send the team to China, his departure date has not yet been completed.
The dispute created concerns the delayed sending of the third and final sending of electromechanical equipment from China. While the KSEB received the first two shipments, the third was delayed on disputes concerning the terms of the contract.
The delayed shipment consists of key generators, including a rotor and stator.
The KSEB concluded an electromechanical work contract with the consortium of Sree Saravan Engineering Bhavani Ltd.
