
The Uttar Pradesh police arrested two Instagram – Mehak and Pari – for the publication of “vulgar” content on social media to gain opinions. According to the first information report (FIR), in addition to two influences identified as Mehak and Pari (alias Nisha), two of their other team members were also appointed. Searching Mehak and Pari on Instagram reveals several accounts with large follows, including “@mehakpari143”, which has almost 4.8 lakh followers. Several mirror accounts have also emerged and shared their videos to discuss sex -related topics and use commonly heard vulgarity.
The police said that some of these accounts were removed by the platform after legal guidelines, although several were still accessible from the center of the evening (July 16).
The influences of social media have earned “approximately £25,000 to £30 000 per month from their instagram content. ”
“They attempted this income and resorted to using vulgar language and obscene visuals to attract viewers and gain cheap popularity,” the police officer said.
Sambhal Superintendent Police Krishan Bishnoi told the media that Mehak, Pari and Hina – residents of Shahbazpur the village of the Asmoli Police Station – recorded “coils containing obscene tongue, abuse and gestures”.
“Through these videos they crossed all the limits of obscenity. There were a lot of anger among local people and villagers.
“Everyone who spread obscenity to gain cheap popularity on Instagram is asked not to do such things. The police do not hesitate to strict legal steps against such people,” he added.
On Sunday evening, a case (Mehak and Pari) was registered against both women (Mehak and Pari) according to section 296 B (singing, recitation or pronouncing any obscene song, ballads or words on or near any public place)
