Minister for Medical Education, Development of Skills, Business and Living Sharanprakash Patil Patil asked officials and members of the Faculty of Hair Institute of Medical Sciences (Hims) to ensure that medical students receive quality education and training.
The Minister spoke at the inspection meeting during his visit to Hims in the HAVERI and asked officials and faculty members to take all the necessary steps to prevent any types of problems related to students’ learning.
Both should work in coordination to ensure the right atmosphere of learning for students, he said.
Take the exception of the slow pace of work and the Minister took the engineer to order him to complete the renovation work on Earth and the first floors of the district hospital completed by the end of September.
He tried to know why the supplier was paid and who gave him permission to take the works outside the scope of the contract.
BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai ordered officials to include suppliers if the work is not completed in the deadline.
The officials at the meeting said that work on the second and third floor of the district hospital was completed and parts were handed over to the affected. And the reconstruction on the ground and the first floors are running, they said.
Dean of Hims Pradeep said at a meeting that a total of 150 MBBS seats, 21 MD seats, 40 nursing seats 40 B.Sc, 70 seats of different B.SC courses, 100 chairs and 40 GNM nursing chairs are available at the Institute.
He also provided information on the availability of faculties and employees, the number of vacancies, available facilities, what is required and other such details.
He announced the Minister of the need to obtain land for the construction of the hospital in front of the House and the needs of the MRI scanning facility.

On this occasion, the Minister started the HIMS mobile application as well as advertising materials on various campaigns of the health department.
Dr. Patil, District Minister Shivanand Patil and Mr. Bommai then communicated with medical students and were looking for feedback on facilities and teaching.
Students broadcast their complaints about food and transport facilities.
On this occasion, the dignitaries also planted several seedlings.
