Higher education institutions invited to register on the AISHE portal

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Vice-Chairperson K. Ratna Shiela Mani said on Tuesday that the registration process on the All-India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE) portal for the academic years 2025-26 and 2026-27 has been started by the Union Ministry of Education for new and unregistered institutions.

Prof. In a statement, Mani said that all universities, colleges and independent institutions in Andhra Pradesh, which are yet to obtain AISHE registration, must complete the process as soon as possible through the AISHE portal. Institutions that already have AISHE codes do not need to register again.

AISHE is an annual web-based survey that collects comprehensive information on enrollment, faculty strength, academic programs, infrastructure and financial aspects of higher education institutions across the country. Data serves as a vital resource for planning, policy formulation and development of the higher education sector.

Prof. Mani said that the AISHE survey for the academic year 2025-26 has not yet started and that the survey schedule and timelines for sending data will be communicated to all institutions after receiving instructions from AISHE, New Delhi.

She urged the eligible institutions to expeditiously complete the registration process to ensure comprehensive coverage and accurate representation of higher education data from Andhra Pradesh in the national database.
