
Brazilian influenced and entrepreneur Natalia Cavanelllas (40) died during cosmetic surgery in São Paulo 7 July, July 7, CNN Brazil reported. The personality of the social media reportedly suffered cardiorespiic arrests on the operating table, and the case was currently being investigated as a “sudden death” by São Paul’s public security secretariat.
The exact cause of her death must still be confirmed and a forensic medical institute is examined.

CNN Brasil also quoted the statement of the legal team of Dr. Edgar Lopez, a surgeon who did the procedure. The statement explained that the procedure was optional, carried out in a licensed hospital with all necessary preoperative evaluation.
“Unfortunately, the patient has developed a serious complication compatible with pulmonary embolism – a rare but known risk, even if all preventive measures are followed,” the doctor said.
This statement also emphasized Lopez’s two decades of experience, specialized training and “consistent ethical and responsible behavior” during his medical career.
Cavanellas’s sudden death has triggered online interviews about the risks associated with cosmetic operations, even though it was under professional supervision.
