Michael Vaughan was left angry in the decision to anchor the world in England for the World Championship for maintaining slow degrees during the Lord test. England has received two points of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) and 10 % fine for players’ match fees.
The punishment was under this Article 16.11.2 ICC WTC playing conditions, which orders a one -point deduction for each through a team that does not reach the required rates, after billing allowed permits. England’s points increased from 24 to 22 of a possible 36, reducing the percentage of points from 66.67% to 61.11%. This affected the position of England in the WTC ranking when they slipped from second to third place when Sri Lanka moved in front of them.
England Captain Ben Stokes accepted a punishment without a competition, which meant that a formal hearing was excluded. The sanction was then confirmed by Richie Richardson of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees.
Despite the slow excessive degree in the Lord’s India test, any sanction escaped. It was angry with Vaughan when he took X to go his frustration. The former English captain said that both teams had bad exaggerated exaggeration in the match and it is surprising that only the team was rebuked for the offense.
“Let’s be honest, both teams over the Lord rates were very poor. As only 1 team was rebuked, he’s beyond me,” Vaughan tweet on X.
A slow problem with excessive degree in the Lord’s test
The Lord’s test was a match that was disrupted during the game by stopping, mainly because of changes in balls and injuries. The first day saw only 83 breaks bowed and the second had 75 as Fans and scientists were left angry with rain or other weather conditions that do not play a role.
While things have changed in the last three, it was not enough to save England from the sanction. These deductions influenced the WTC in the previous cycles because they have yet to go to the finals. India and England will lock the corners 23 July in the Manchester test.
