The Sunni Scholars Forum Samastha Kerala Smo-iyathul Ulama and its associated organizations said they would offer practical proposals related to other instructional hours carried out in the schools of state syllab. This was decided at a meeting that took place here on Tuesday.
Samastha opposed other working hours for classes VIII on X, every day and afternoon after 15 minutes, except Friday, she said it would affect students attending “Madrasa” classes early in the morning. On Tuesday, his leaders told the media that if there was no positive response to their proposals during the proposed interviews with officials of the Ministry of Education, protests would be reinforced against the government.
Samasty officials pointed out that there was no response to the memorandum submitted by the organization before the new timing was performed. No interviews were organized. The Association of Samastha Keral Madrasa subsequently said that it would have protests against the government throughout the state. However, general Minister of Education V. Sivankutty spoke to President Samastha Syed Muhammed Jifri Muthukoya Thang on the phone on July 14 and expressed the government’s willingness to talk about the matter.
MT Abdulla Musliyar, General Secretary, Samastha Islam Religious Education, said that practical designs would be submitted during the interviews. “If there is no positive reaction, all organizations associated with Samastha will organize intensive protests together. It cannot return to that. The government should take people to decide. Religion is a form of education and vice versa. Religious education is a key part of Islam.
The new timing has been carried out to implement the objective of 220 working days and 1100 teaching hours for class VIII according to the Act on Education and IX and X Class and X according to the rules for education of Keral.
