Pastor John MacArthur, 86 -year -old leader of the Grace Community Church in California, was hospitalized with pneumonia. During the Sunday service, the associated pastor Tom Patton said the choir that MacArthur “may soon be in the presence of the Lord” and asked for urgent prayers for the pastor and his family.

The announcement came after MacArthur closed Pneumonia last week, leading to his immediate hospitalization.
This latest health crisis has been monitoring years of serious health problems, including several hearts and pulmonary practices since 2023. The beloved pastor publicly preached in 2024 due to its declining health.
Macarthura’s health struggles began dramatically in January 2023, when after the delivery of sermons experienced difficulty breathing. He was hospitalized and underwent three cardiac procedures plus lung surgery, resulting in a seven -day stay in the hospital.
When the news spread, the church community gathered in prayer for Macarthur, his 61 -year -old Patricia, their four children, 15 grandchildren and nine great -grandchildren.
During the Sunday’s emotional service, Patton led the assembly and placed his pastor “on the feet of the famous Savior, whom he served so faithfully”. Host preacher HB Charles Jr. Tears acknowledged how MacArthur’s ministry shaped his own profession and called the influence of the pastor “fruit of loyalty to this pulpit”.
MacArthur has led the GCC choir for 56 years and is president of Grace, a non -profit organization dedicated to the distribution of almost 400 book titles written by the pastor according to the Church’s website.
“We will place our dear pastor on the feet of the famous Savior,” Patton quoted on Sunday service. “Who has served so faithfully for so many years and now awaits his last command to be in his presence forever.”
