
The first meeting of the Advisory Board of other backward classes (CC) of the All India (AIC) Congress Committee will begin on Tuesday in Bengalur. A two -day meeting will be considered on the strategies for a party that would return the voters of the CITC throughout the country and come months before the decisive elections in Bihar.
The agenda for the discussion includes the caste census and the provisions of Article 164 (1) in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and ODisha, which concerns the appointment of the Minister of Social Welfare, which will be in charge of planned castes and backward classes.
The 24-member Council includes, among other things, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiaha, former main ministers Ashok Gehlot (Rajasthan), Bhupesh Baghel (Chattisgarh), V. Narayanasama (Puduchherry) and M. Veerappa, except for members and former ministers.
In addition to the Council members, the Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar and many other leaders of the parties will take part in meetings that will start at the KPCC office on Tuesday evening and Wednesday at the hotel.
