Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeryy) Leader and Rajya Sabha Member Priyanka Chaturvedi on Monday (July 15, 2025) Wrote to Civil Aviation AI171 WERE allegedly leaked to the International Media Before It Was Officially Released in India.
In the interest of transparency with regard to the authorship of the preliminary report, Mrs Chaturvedi said that the names of all members of the investigative panel should be published and the report should bear the signatures of each panel member.
“I write to you to express serious concerns about the way the recent interim report of the Office for Investigation of Investigation (AAIB) has been solved and distributed, especially with media reports that appear in international publications before the report in India publicly published.” Safety, pilot moral and Indian global aviation ”.
The Air accident investigation office (AAIB) published its preliminary report on the Boeing 787-8 Air India, which killed 260 people, including 241 people on board. The aircraft, which operated the AI171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed into the building soon after takeoff.
Shiva Sena (UBT) said that one cannot be a muted viewer with regard to the narration built around the AI 171 crash and interim news. “It is deeply worrying that sensitive AAIB report details were available to foreign intelligence agencies and published in stores such as Wall Street Journal, before any official release in India.
Mrs Chaturvedi claimed that continuous hints against the deceased pilots through implication and selective leaks of temporary reports through international media were “absolutely reprehensible”.
“Such motivated speculations through broadcasting, printing and digital platforms show a more ominous attempt to thicken our pilots who are not alive to indicate their case, even the Pilot Association raised their objections,” she said.
