The fire was absorbed by the empty general coach Special Train (04717) in Tirupati’s court on Monday. The sudden fire left many passengers at the station. The authorities immediately pointed out the fire brigades that arrived on the scene and retreated in a few minutes.
In an interview with Hindus Railway Inspector M. Sandeep Kumar said: “The Hisar-Tirupati train arrived on platform 1 around 12:05 and was moved to the 12:50 stabilition yard for cleaning.
“The cause of the fire is still unknown. There is a preliminary investigation. The Committee will be created to determine the cause and assess the loss. Fortunately, there was no person or property at the time of the fire accident,” he said, urging the public not to believe that false rumors were spreading on social media.
In his statement, South Central Railway (SCR) stated: “The fire brigade team was carried out the necessary firefighting measures. Another investigation of the cause of the incident is taking place. There is no disturbance of any of the outgoing /incoming train services from the Tirupati railway station.”
