In a worrying incident, the man allegedly tied his mother to the electric pole and recorded a video to gain sympathy over the dispute with real estate in the family. The incident was announced from the village of Tammiganipalli in Karaghatta Panchayat under the constituency in Santhipuram Mandal Kuppam.
The video that became viral on social media shows an older woman identified as a gangamma, bound to the pole with a plastic rope. After a thorough probe of higher police officials Sub-Division Kuppam said that Muneppa, family head, died on July 5. He had two wives-Munemma and the gangamma-and among their children appeared disputes.
In an effort to gain sympathy and top, Suresh tied his mother gangamm to the pole, recorded an act and accused his half -brother Manjunath (son Munemma) for a “abominable act” by publishing a video on social media platforms on Sunday.
“Although this act seems to be a case of abuse, our investigation has found that it was a presented act that gained sympathy on the one hand of the family and thrown blame on the other side,” the police officer said. The police arrested Suresh on Monday and registered the case.
Here it can be noted that a similar incident was reported in Kuppam a few weeks ago, when the loan bound the woman to the tree and defeated it after she could not pay off the debt with excessive interest. The report attracted the attention of the whole state, which led to the intervention of the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naida, which represents the KupPam constituency. She was given financial assistance 5 lakhs and other government benefits. The police registered a criminal case against the creditor and arrested.
