The packaging with strict measures for possible violations of security standards during the official inspection, which is held according to the National Green Tribunal (NGT), more than 200 fireworks in the Virudhunagar district remained on Monday (July 14, 2025).
According to police sources, approximately 250 units in Taluks of Sivakasi, Sattur and Vembakottai were not opened on Monday.

The manager said that the collector of the district district of Virudhunagar recently created several teams composed of officials from the Directorate of Industrial Security and Health, Department of Income, Police and Fire and Rescue. “It looks like the owners of the factories let them lock them without starting the work to avoid the authorities to control their units,” the official added.
