The founder of Sambhaji Brigade Pravin Gaikwad was included and the ink was on Sunday (July 13, 2025, allegedly thrown by the organization’s activists, the police said.

The viral video shows that Mr. Gaikwad was pulled out of the car and in the afternoon he was a group of people.
“While Gaikwad was in his car, Shivdharm Foundation supporters organized protests, threw a black ink on him, and also tried to vandalize their car,” the official said.
Mr. Gaikwad came to Akkalkot, widely known for his relationship with SWAMY SAMARTH, which is assumed to be a reincarnation of Shree Datatrey to participate in the ceremony of felicitation organized by the educational institute and Sakal Maratho Samaj.
Demonstrators also protested against Mr. Gaikwad to call CHhatApati Sambhaji Maharaji “sambhaji”. They are described that the Sambhaji Brigade is renamed to the CHhatApati brigade Sambhaji Maharaji, the official said.
The police reserved Deepak Kate and six other members of the Shivdharm Foundation according to sections 115 (2), 189, 190 and 191 Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) for riots and detained them. Later they were allowed to go after the police served their announcements.
Mr. Gaikwad claimed it was an attempt to kill him for his “progressive thoughts”.
“I went to Akkalkot and suddenly members of the Shiv Dharma Foundation blurred black, sticky oil on me. They attacked me and tried to kill me. You may remember the murders of Dr. Pansare, Kalburg, Dr. Dabholkar and Gauri Lankesh.
“Sometimes there are attempts to violate political parties. Then there are attempts to divide activists. When all such attempts have failed, these attacks are performed. We work with an ideology rooted in truth. Our thinking is in accordance with the Constitution,” added Mr. Gaikwad.
The Sambhaji Brigade works for humanity, but unfortunately some misconceptions are spreading about social organizations that they say to you that those who claim to follow the hindutva ideology are doing.
Sambhaji Brigade, Outfit Marathi, is named after the cottage Sambai Maharaj, son of chatrapati shivaji maharaj.
In 2004, she received an exhibition for alleged attacks and vandalization of the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute in Pune and claimed that it helped US scholar James Laine Laine about Shivai Maharaj, some of which were unacceptable to them.
“The ideological opposition should be expressed through ideas. This path of violence is highly convict and deplorable,” MP told AMOL Kolhe MP (SP).
His colleague and Mla Jitendra Awhad offered Mr. Gaikwad support by calling him a “champion of progressive ideas” and “warrior”.
