The Uttar Pradesh government said on Sunday (July 13, 2025) that it is expected to be an estimated 60 million devotees, including seven million women, crossing Kanwar in the state of the annual Kanwar Yatra.
The state said it carried out a safety model focused on women by deploying over 10,000 women’s police workers along the Yatra route. The female constraints were also a mandatory part of the Rapid reaction teams (QRTS), including night shifts. The QRT guard has been reinforced along the key routes and the female officers are now monitoring special control rooms 24×7 and help lines across zones.
“In the first, more than 10,000 female police staff, including 8,541 main constables and 1,486 sub-insectors-were deployed along the Yatra route, which accounts for nearly 15 percent of the total power to the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

In support of women’s female constables, they will be placed on all female help to help and advise devotees in sensitive situations. “In addition, Shakti Help Booths, in cooperation with voluntary women’s organizations, is established in several districts to further support women’s pilgrims,” the state government said.
In Meerut Zone, the Epicentre of the Kanwar Yatra in UP, more than 100 Helpsesks for women were founded to offer real -time assistance along with technological supervision through drones, CCTV and social media monitoring. The state government added the initiative reflecting its obligation to create an environment in which people can primarily participate in religious and cultural events freely and fearlessly.
Kanwar Yatra, the annual fair journey of the devoted Lord Shiva began on July 11 and ends on 23 July.
