Three major fertilizers from India concluded a long -term agreement on the supply of fertilizers with Ma’aden of Saudi Arabia. The signing of the agreements was carried out in the presence of the JP of the Naddy, the Minister of Health and the care of family and chemicals and fertilizers, which is on three days (July 11-13) in the Kingdom of Persian Gulf.
A press note from the Indian government stated that the agreements would provide an offer of 3.1 million MT fertilizers DAP (Diamonium phosphate) annually for five years from 2025–26, with another five -year extension with “mutual consent”.

Mr. Nadda met the Saudi Minister of Industry and mineral resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef, in the capital of Riyadh and discussed mechanisms for strengthening bilateral partnerships in fertilizers, petrochemicals and pharmaceutical sectors. “The discussion also took place to facilitate mutual investments with a focus on exploring opportunities for Indian public sector enterprises (PSU) to invest in the Saudi fertilizer sector and reciprocal Saudi investment in India,” said the press note.
Both parties also created a joint team led by the Secretary (fertilizer) on the Indian side and vice-chairman for mining matters at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources on the Saudi side to explore long-term cooperation in this sector-circle to ensure Indian agricultural security. “At a time when some countries show a restrictive approach in the fertilizer offer, the commitment from KSA shows that Indian friends and partners continue to work closely to the provision of requirements and cooperation on future investments,” the press note said.
Mr. Nadda also met Prince Abdulesize Bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy and co -chairman of the Strategic Partnership Council between India and Saudi Arabia, and ways to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries.
The second meeting of the Council for Strategic Partnership (SPC) took place during the visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jeddah in April. The SPC favored relations between India-Saudi in the field of defense, energy and cultural areas.
