Of the 83,054 engineering seats available for the academic year 2025-26, 77 154 were assigned and 5,900 remained unoccupied, according to the false assignment published by the Technical Education and TG-EAPTET 2025 competition.
In total, 95,256 candidates participated in the certificate verification process, which took place from 1 to 8 July and applied web options from 6 to 10 July. A total of 56.63 Lakh options were applied by 94,059 candidates.
Probable assignment has shown that seats filled in 172 participating institutions. The summary of the process has so far also shown that 16,905 candidates have applied, but did not receive assignments. A total of 6,021 candidates from economically weak sections.
Officials have explained that the assignment is likely only in nature and candidates can adjust their capabilities from 13 to 15 July, which is the date of freezing. If the candidate does not change his possibilities as shown in a false round, the same will be considered the final and interim assignment of the first phase.
Seats designed in the categories of special reservations such as NCC or sports were not part of the simulated assignment and will be performed in the following stages.
