The tide to Godavari began to retreat on Sunday (July 13) downstream of Bhadrachalam, bringing a tribal dwelling along the Sabari River. The connectivity of roads, which was limited between Chinto and VR Puram, was restored to the Chintoor agency in the district of Alluri Sitarama Raju.

Meanwhile, Fisherfolk is planning to let go into the Godavari River between Dowleswaam and Yanam Union in search of fish “Hilsa” (known as Plasa in the Godavari), which behaves in the river during the monzun. Flood water attracts species of fish from the sea. The catch is sold through an open auction, mostly in Yanam and Dowleswaam, where it gets an attractive price.
