
Gujarat: Four days after the tragedy of the collapse of the Mahisagar River bridge, which killed up to 20 people, the Gujarat government approved the construction of a parallel two -lane bridge on a high level on the spot. The government has also approved £212 Crore for the work -related work.
Main Minister Gujarat Bhupendra Patel granted the administrative approval of the Department of Roads and Buildings for the construction of a new bridge near Mujpur connecting the districts of Vadodar and Anand.
The state government has set a goal to build a new structure in 18 months and initiated the proceedings, PTI reported with citing an official statement.

The project report said that “after the unfortunate collapse of the existing bridge, which disrupted the connectivity between the central Gujarat and Saurashtra and represented calls for local commuting and students, the main minister quickly approved this new project.”
Looking for a missing person is still ongoing
Meanwhile, searching for a missing man continued on the Mahisagar River on Sunday on the fifth day of a row, the officials said.
Rescue teams perform searching with rubber boats and other necessary equipment, adding that the debris of small vehicles has also been saved.
