
On Sunday afternoon, a small aircraft crashed at London Airport in London, which triggered dramatic focal balls and thick black smoke, which could be seen on miles through Essex. Emergency services remain in place of what the police call a “serious incident”.
The accident occurred just before 16:00 local time, while the ESSEX police confirmed that it had received a collision report including 12 meters (39 feet) aircraft. The aircraft was reportedly a small company on its way to Lelystad in the Netherlands.
The authorities have not yet confirmed how many people were on board, and details of victims or injuries remain unclear.
Fireball, heavy smoke reported
Unverified images published by the British Media and circulated on social media showed that a large fiery ball exploded above the airport, followed by a tall of strong black smoke. Witnesses in nearby areas reported to hear a loud explosion.
“We remain on the site of a serious incident at Southend Airport,” Essex police said in a statement. “We are now working with all standby services on the scene and this work will take several hours.”
Reaction to emergency situations
The ambulance service to the east of England confirmed that four ambulances and several units of reaction were sent to the site. Firefighters and police officers also help manage the situation.

The eyewitness John Johnson, who was at the airport with his family, described the tormenting moment, reported.

Johnson added that before the take-off of his family waved the pilots-they waved back. A moment later the disaster hit.
