
The leader Bharatiya Janata (BJP) C. Sadanandan, 61, a cannon retirement teacher and a surviving brutal political attack at the age of 90, were nominated for Rajya Sabha pursuant to Article 80 (3) of the Constitution.
Mr. Sadanandan said on Sunday Mediaperons in Kannura that the proposal was part of the BJP effort to implement the slogan “developed kerals”. “The party has great hopes for Kera. This proposal is a step to fulfill these hopes,” he said, describing it not only as a personal honor, but also a recognition for the state. He said that the Central BJP leadership has always granted Keral “special attention” regardless of its election success in the state.

Mr. Sadanandan said he was called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi two days ago. “He said the party was delegating my task. I found out only this morning,” he added.
He said that the central approach of BJP does not prevent election losses in Kerala. “This is not considered a big problem or obstacle. Politics are formed for the development of Keraly,” he said.
Mr. Sadanandan, a native of Perincheri, was a teacher in Sree Durg Vilasam in Thrissur. He started his teaching career at the Kuzhikkal Elementary School and was also a subdeditor Janmabhoomi and an announcer in All India Radio. His social obligations began at the age of 17 to Nezru Yuva Kendra and continued organizations such as Bharatiya Vichar Kendra and Sri Parvathi Jan Sev Samithi. He also worked as State President of Desiya Adhyapaka Parisad and editor -in -chief desiya Adhyapak Varth for 15 years.
Double Amputee
At the age of 30, Mr. Sadanandan underwent double amputation under his knees and after the attack allegedly committed by CPI (M) staff in 1994. He remains active in public life by prosthetic limbs.
Mr. Sadanandan’s promotion to Raja Sabha is perceived in the BJP circle as a strategic step to supply the party base in Kerala and at the same time honor the lifelong ideological obligation and public service.
