‘Rancho’ Sonam Wangchuk Joins Cockroach Janta Party Peaceful Protest June 6 | Today’s news
Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk said on Tuesday that he will join a peaceful protest to be organized on June 6 by members of the satirical online party “Cockroach Janta Party” demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the recent controversy surrounding the CBSE and NEET exams.
In a post on X, Wangchuk, who considers himself an “honest cockroach,” said: “IF NOT US, WHO? IF NOT NOW, WHEN!”
“I will join the CJP members in Delhi on June 6 if nothing changes by June 5. Any self-respecting minister should resign if things get this bad… Not to mention the impact on millions of young lives and indeed the future of India,” Wangchuk wrote on X on Tuesday.
Founder of ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ Abhijeet Deepkawho lives in the US, announced on June 1 that he would return to India “to ask for the resignation of the Education Minister”.
Urging the youth to join the protest on June 6, he said, “I request the youth of India to join this peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar and exercise our constitutional right to demand accountability from the government.”
Thanking Sonam Wangchuk for expressing her desire to join the protest on June 6, Dipke wrote on X: “Sonam Wangchuk is joining the cockroach movement! Thank you sir for joining the movement. It’s a great honor for all of us cockroaches! Looking forward to meeting you on June 6th. Jai Hind🫡”
In another post, he wrote: “Cockroaches, Rancho will be joining a peaceful protest on June 6th. Will you be there?”
