15. The annual General Meeting of Then Mala Ecoturism Promotion Society (TEPS) decided to strengthen its activities and improve cooperation between different departments. The meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram has recently decided to apply for a mandate from the government for expanding its activities in promoting ecotourism throughout the state.
The Minister of Tourism PA Mohammad Riyas, who attended the meeting, said the efforts to establish Keraly as an important center in the map of ecotourism in India. “The activities of ecotourism in Kerala have increased significantly in recent years and have attracted the growing number of natural enthusiasts from around the world,” the minister said.
The meeting also decided to submit a decision to change the Memorandum on the TEP to the government.
