Abubacker Siddique, one of the most sought -after terror suspects charged with the anti -terrorist team (ATS) Police Tamil Nadu in Andhra Pradesh, was an expert in the production of improvised explosive facilities (IED), said the CEO of the police (DGP).
On Friday, they spoke with reporters in Chennai, and ATS officials shared Siddique inputs to police Andr Pradesh and central agencies. Search was made to hiding Siddique in Rayachoti near Kadapa, where explosives and other incriminating materials were confiscated.
Mr. Jiwal said that ATS launched two operations – ARAM operations and Agazhi operations in which Siddique, Mohammed Ali and “Tailor” Raja were arrested. Siddique was sought in several cases of bomb explosion and murders.
He was on the run for about 30 years, but continued his criminal activities in South India. There were barely there were no traces, and he worked under several pseudonyms and constantly changed its location.
DGP said that the suspects were represented by real estate agents or textile traders and were able to do various work.
The ATS team, which relied on human and technical intelligence, followed specific tracks and on July 9. He was sought in four sensitive cases, including the Coimbatore Serial Bomb Blasts from 1998. He has been on the run since 1996 and has not been his photographs, except for several of his teenage years. Raja was not in contact with her family and friends for years.
The success of ATS in the detention of the most sought -after suspects of terror included several months of hard work, said Mr. Jiwal.
