It seemed that the voices of the dissatisfaction against the Congress (CWC) and the four -time deputies of the Thiruvananthapuram party, Shashi Tharoor, were louder in Kerala for the “repeatedly introduction of the party to defense in the public domain”.
Mr. Tharoor’s recent article “accusing” of the then Prime Minister of Indian Gandhi and her son Sanjay Gandhi for “unspeakable cruelty and excesses” appeared for at least a few leaders in the Congress Committee of Keral Pradesh (KPCC), despite the great command dictate.
Several congress leaders felt angry that Mr. Tharoor played in the hands of BJP by racing the dark past of an emergency.
Remarkably, the bJP social media’s handles have probably intensified Mr. Tharoor as part of his larger campaign against the Gandhi family to the 50th anniversary of the emergency.
The leader of the KC veteran congress seemed to criticize Mr. Tharoor in the social medium. He quoted an adage that underlines “the need to fall a valuable tree if it leans uncertainly over the house, even if it brings gold fruit.”
Former President KPCC K. Muraleedharan urged Mr. Tharoor to leave Congress and give up his seat Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha if he felt “suppressed” at the party.
“Party workers want to know why Mr. Tharoor repeatedly reserves the praise of BJP and communist leaders, while he did not spare praise on the leader of the congress,” Muraleedharan said.
The MP VK Sreekantan said that many water was flowing under the bridge from the emergency days, and the Earth faced an unexplored emergency situation under the premiere of Narendra Modi. But Mr. Tharoor has only praise for Modi, he said.
The criticism against Mr. Tharoor seemed to be assumed by Bipartisan political tone. The State Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Binoy Viswam, whose party is an ally of the Indian block led by Congress, urged a member of the CWC to resign to his membership and join the BJP.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tharoor, unfortunately, has become a BJP spokesperson. He should get rid of the facade that he is a congress worker, while he harshly supports the Hindu nationalistic BJP thing,” he added.
