The day after the member of the Congress and Malaysian article Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor on the emergency situation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gave the Catholic priest to take the social media to take Mr. Tharoor and Deepika, Malayalam day.
Fr. Jose Vallikkatt, a priest based in Bhatinda, Pandjab, wrote a Facebook post, which claimed that the emergency situation was a really dark phase in Indian political history. However, he criticized Mr. Tharoor for refusing to recognize “a much more terrifying unexplored emergency situation today”.
Fr. Vallikkat accused Mr. Tharoor of not only recognizing an unexplored emergency, but “he also sang praise.” The priest added that “the country witnesses the secret silence of disapproving voices and is aimed at the monolithic true wing of the Hindu fascist state.” In this situation, an ordinary person cannot be accused of suspicious that some key members of the Catholic Church and some media organizations are pushing forward with the agenda to help BJP return to power in the next elections and testify to the destruction of some other communities they did not like.
Meanwhile Fr. Tom Olikkarott, secretary and spokesman of the Syro-Malabar Church Media, told the Hind to comment on the publication of an article in Deepice.
“The editorial Board of Daily decided to publish an article by Mr. Tharoor. It has autonomy to select and publish content, as it considers it appropriate. The Council is fully competent for such editorial decisions,” he said. Olikkarott.
“The Church does not expand the special kindness to any political party, nor a party that means democratic value to it,” he added.
