The Minister responsible for the Kodag district in Karnataka NS Boseraju ordered officials on Friday to take preventive measures, as in the district in the coming days they are expected in the district of heavy rain.

Representative of the Commissioner Venkat Raja said that the road must be repaired without any delay, as rain continues in the district.
The president for the implementation of the Dharmaja Uthappa district warranty scheme said the roads are in poor condition and many of them are interwoven with large potholes due to heavy rains. The road must be repaired by a priority, demanded.
The Minister ordered officials to prepare and present a list of maintenance work completed and waiting, including roads and roads of district Panchayat and roads completed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The CEO of Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Anand Prakash Meena said for maintenance of ZP and Mission Works Jal Jeevan. Representatives of the Commissioner also told the meeting that the funds of NDRF will be issued for the city local authorities for road repair.
The Minister ordered the minor repair work to be carried out in 71 Anganwadis, 1 154 schools and student hostels and order the officials concerned to ensure proper maintenance of the hostel.
MLA for Madikeri Mantar Gowda raised concerns about increasing the cases of Ganja (marijuana) in the Kodag district and ordered the police department to maintain a strict vigil.
